Siófok

Siófok is one of Hungary's busiest tourist destinations, known as the 'summer capital of Hungary'. Its resort area and villa quarter were built at the end of the 19th century as the largest tourist venture of the era. Siófok is the birthplace of world-famous operetta composer Imre Kálmán, whose family home is now a memorial museum. Siófok is also home to several art galleries where exhibitions by renowned painters can be visited.
